Former students Students who have previously participated in one of my online workshops receive 15 extra days of mentoring, added to the regular 8-week program.

Direct your work with clarity.

A personalized online process for artists who want to develop their work in a coherent direction through mixed media techniques and visual narrative.

Through research and practice, we will incorporate new materials and techniques to expand and enrich your visual language, so that your decisions and objectives become visible in your work.

What it is

A personal framework.

The mentorship is designed for artists with an active practice who need direction, structure and individual guidance. It does not begin with generic exercises, but with your images, interests, doubts and decisions.

It is a guided reading of your process. It is not a course or a workshop. It is a personalized guide for your creative process.

Each week, you will receive a work proposal or a line of research adapted to your needs. The goal is to help you think about your work with more precision and build a more personal visual language.

How it works

8 weeks. A clear rhythm.

The process combines initial orientation, practical work, written feedback and a final review based on your evolution.

Former students
Students who have previously participated in one of my online workshops receive 15 extra days of mentoring, added to the regular 8-week program.

Weeks 1–2

Orientation and direction

We review your starting point, interests, technical and conceptual needs. We also organize the use of Padlet as our shared working space.

Weeks 3–8

Work development

We move into practical work: collage, mixed media, composition, visual rhythm, personal narrative, editing and the construction of a clearer visual voice.

Online workshop participants: You receive 15 extra days of mentoring at the end of the regular 8-week program. Your mentorship therefore extends to 10 weeks: Work development continues from Weeks 3–10, followed by one final day for feedback and closure.

Friday · Feedback + Assignment

You receive feedback on the previous week and a new assignment with the direction of work for the week ahead.

Thursday · Submission

You upload your weekly work to Padlet before the end of Thursday. The number of pieces or exercises may vary depending on the project and the stage of the process.

Transformation

From intention to language.

The mentorship is not about helping you produce more, but about helping you better understand how to incorporate new resources and techniques into your own visual language.

1

More clarity

You will identify patterns, strengths, blocks and possibilities that already exist in your work, but may not yet be organized.

2

More coherence

We will work on the relationship between technique, intention, composition and narrative so that your decisions carry more visual and conceptual weight.

3

More identity

The goal is to help you develop your own voice within the area, technique or language you want to investigate.

Tools

A space of your own.

Padlet will be our private working space: your submissions, comments, questions, references and feedback will be organized there.

This space allows us to see the complete process, not just each isolated submission. Throughout the regular 8 weeks, the board will function as a visual record of your evolution.

  • Private working space in Padlet.
  • One weekly submission.
  • Weekly written feedback.
  • Audiovisual resources and reference material.
  • Final written feedback in PDF.

About me

Ramiro Clemente.

Portrait of Ramiro Clemente

Visual artist and educator based in Barcelona. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts and postgraduate studies in Visual Culture from the University of Barcelona.

More than 300 of my works, including drawings, collages and photography, are part of public and private collections. I have also developed illustrations for books, covers, magazines and newspapers.

I have received awards and recognition in drawing and photography competitions, and I have accompanied more than 2,000 students through online and in-person classes, mentorships and international educational projects.

My work in this mentorship is not to evaluate your work in terms of good or bad, but in terms of useful or not useful for achieving specific objectives. My role is to make a critical reading of your work, offer viable alternatives for its development based on your submissions, and propose resources, exercises and audiovisual materials that can help you make visual decisions.

Before starting

Frequently asked questions.

What is the difference between a course and a mentorship?

In a course, you follow a general structure designed for a group. In a mentorship, the work is built around your work, your needs, your questions and your evolution. The goal is not only to incorporate resources, but to apply them to your own direction.

Do I need to have my own style?

No. The mentorship is precisely a guided research and development tool for finding your own voice within the area or language you want to develop. The result will also depend on your commitment and your capacity for work.

What kind of images can I upload?

You can upload images of drawings, paintings, collages, sketchbook pages, mixed media pieces, works in progress or visual research. It is important that they are clear and have enough resolution to be evaluated properly.

How much time should I dedicate each week?

The mentorship is designed for people with an active practice. The greater your level of commitment, the more you will get from the process. My role is to offer attentive feedback on everything you submit and help you orient your work with continuity.
